Sach

Khudse sach na keh sake to kisi aur ko kya batayein.
Khud sehne ki himmat na ho to kisi aur ko kyun sunayein??

A Message

Everyday touches so many lives,
So many hopes passing by.

Ideas colliding, aspirations binding,
Never-ending tortures, dreams so high,

A single message, may each touch be a lesson,
You a half filled glass and a hopeful sigh.

Book Review: The Boy with the Porcelain Blade

The Boy with the Porcelain Blade (The Erebus Sequence, Book#1)

Author: Den Patrick

Introduction: I have thought of updating this as a live blog. So I will pen down my thoughts as I read the novel, and include an overall review at the end.

15th May 2015: Chapter 1
The story grips you right at the get-go.
Protagonist introduced in exciting circumstances.

16th May 2015: Chapter 2-7
The level of English vocabulary is good. Found many words that I see rarely outside of the GRE Word Lists. :P
There is no background narrative, but the background is inter-meshed into the main story itself as alternating chapters with time jumps.
The advantage of using flash backs do tell prior history is that the story may be kick-started right from the beginning, but the disadvantage is that there is a regular breakage of flow when the flash back happens. Clever writers gradually tend to reduce number of flashbacks as the story builds up so that the crescendo build up with a great climax and/or cliff hanger in the end.

Rest Coming Soon....

Unlimited Blade Works

Great lines from Fate/Stay night:Ultimate blade Works

I am the bone of my sword,
Steel is my body, and fire is my blood.

I have created over a thousand blades.
Unknown to death, nor known to life.

Have withstood pain to create many weapons,
Yet, those hands will never hold anything.

So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works!

Husn maalik....

Beautiful poem sung by stand-up comedian Kapil Sharma.Written by his late college teacher Ashwini.

Aaj na jaane kaun na-waaqife-e-adab chaman se guzraa hai.
Maine kaanto pe bhi hoton ke nisaan dekhe hain.

Husn maalik tamaam pholoon ka,
Ishq bhi hai ghulaam phoolon ka.
